I take you along on a day trip to the stunning Èze Village—a fairytale hilltop village tucked between Nice and Monaco. I visited in July, during my stay in Nice, and this was hands down one of the most breathtaking highlights of my French Riviera trip.
🚋 Getting There (From Nice Airport Area):
Staying near Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, I found public transportation to be surprisingly convenient.
-
I hopped on Tram Line 2 from the airport area toward the city center.
-
From there, I transferred to Bus #82 (also #112 is an option), which winds its way up to Èze Village.
The ride itself was scenic and smooth—no car needed!
🏰 Roaming the Village:
Èze Village is completely free to enter, and the charm begins the moment you step off the bus.
The village is made up of narrow, stone-paved lanes, ivy-covered walls, art galleries, and artisan shops tucked into every corner. Wandering through the medieval alleys feels like stepping into a storybook.

🌵 Jardin Exotique d’Èze – A Must-Visit:
At the very top of the village is the Jardin Exotique. This part does require a small entrance fee, but it’s absolutely worth it. The garden is perched on the cliff edge and features:
-
Unique cacti and exotic plants
-
Sculptures and stone terraces
-
Panoramic views of the sparkling Mediterranean—honestly one of the best views I’ve seen anywhere in France!

🍽️ Dining with a View:
After exploring, I stayed in the village for dinner. There are plenty of lovely restaurants and cafés, many with terrace seating overlooking the sea and mountains. Whether you're into gourmet cuisine or casual local dishes, Èze delivers with flavor and scenery.
🌅 Final Thoughts:
This village is pure magic—from the dramatic cliffside views to the peaceful stone paths and elegant gardens. It’s the perfect escape from the city bustle and an ideal day trip from Nice.
If you're traveling along the French Riviera, don't miss Èze Village. Watch the video to get a feel for the atmosphere, the journey, and the views that left me speechless.
